 Coffee Table Updated.

Not the most stylish thing, but painted black it looks good. Free of course!

Look at this poor thing! It was free, but was falling apart. All the drawer joints came apart, and the wood was dried out. However, it was free and the marble was in good condition. I had big ideas about replacing the tiles, but further investigation revealed a ply wood backing that would be very difficult to remove without damaging the frame. Then I saw some peel off vinyl tiles on Amazon! Eureka! I was able to remove the little discs between the tiles and then replace once the vinyl tiles were in place, which makes them look even more like real tiles.  The handles on the drawers and cupboard are so pretty too. I revived them with a pewter paste, found online. The wash
stand is now in a guest bedroom.

This Ikea chest of drawers was given to me free. You can see it had a 'ding ' in the front of the top drawer that was easily filled with wood filler. Then I painted it with chalk paint and finished it with matt varnish. It sold for £50 which went to Pancreatic Cancer Action UK.

Very tatty, but FREE chest of drawers.

The final result. Sold for £50. The proceeds went to Pancreatic Cancer Action UK.

DUET PIANO STOOL

I AM TOLD THEY ARE RARE TO FIND SO WHEN I SPOTTED THIS IN A JUNK SHOP FOR A FEW POUNDS, I HAD TO BUY IT.  IT THEN RETIRED TO MY CELLAR FOR QUITE A FEW YEARS.  HOWEVER, I WAS RUNNING OUT OF THINGS TO PAINT/RENOVATE SO ITS TIME HAD COME.  I HAD ALSO JUST BOUGHT SOME REALLY NICE MAP FABRIC IN FRANCE THAT NEEDED A HOME.

IT IS PAINTED IN A CHALK PAINT CALLED STOCKHOLM BY GRAND ILLUSIONS AND THEN FINISHED WITH A COAT OF SADOLINS OUTDOOR MATT CLEAR VARNISH.  IT NOW RESIDES IN A GUEST BEDROOM.

 HOBO BAG

This was a free download pattern on Pinterest.  I used a pair of denim jeans that cost £3 and some fabric I already had in my huge stash of 'might come in useful' fabrics!

It is simple, other than pulling through from the top of a strap to turn it right sides out..  If I made it again, I would leave the curve at the top of the bag open, as it is top stitched anyway.
